Enough of the woke bullsh$t!!! First you take off OANN then have the nads to take off Newsmax. I'm sick of it! I am disconnecting your worthless service in the morning. I don't see you charging less for getting less, nope, you a*sholes charge even more! 22 Fu#king liberal channels and only one conservative channel left?! Newsmax is the 4th rated channel, that tell you something? Good luck with your Chinese masters and demoncrap influence! I'll be cutting the overpriced never hardly working internet too. That's $225 a month that you just lost from just mine alone. Trust me, I'm spreading the word and I bet thousands more will be cutting your piece of shi* non-service as well. Now FU&K OFF!!!

Appears that DTV and Newsmax didn't reach an agreement by the contract deadline so Newsmax removed their feed to DTV. Most contracts expire at midnight.

Throw away the equipment and you pay DirecTV even more. You will be required to send back any returnable models upon cancellation. If in the end they have parted ways (as opposed to the normal continuing negotiations after Newsmax pulled the feed), then call and cancel the correct way.
It is unfortunate a new agreement was not reached by the deadline. Most the time this is temproary as negotiations continue. However, with negotiations that continue after the deadline, it is the channel (Newsmax in this case) that pulls the feed and only returns it upon a new agreement reached.ay.

I'm right behind you. I've been a customer since 1997. I got rid of AT&T internet and all phone lines last year. This is the nail in the coffin. I'm done with this communist organization.

Two sides didn't reach an agreement by the deadline. Normally they are still negotiating, just channel owner pulls feed (as is their right) until a new agreement is reached. Doubtful, though not impossible, that negotiations are completely over as this is a normal tactic to leverage customers that much harder (as opposed to leaving channel on as a sign of good faith).
Hmm "communist organization" is quite out there with conspiracy "theories".

I've read some of your post. You're on the left. China is a communist country. That's not a conspiracy theory. That's a fact.

I am neither "Left" or "Right". I choose not lock myself in on any point on a policital spectrum. I can keep my individuality and not follow the crowd (on any side).
Doesn't matter what China is. DirecTV is an American organization.
Assumptions and feelings =/= facts.

That's good to hear; however, your responses are more on the left's side than conservative. Your approach is to cut DirectTV a break and this is all on Newsmax. Have you looked on Newsmax's website? Obviously you watch fake news and not true news. Follow the money...

I never said to cut DirecTV a break. I was pointing out that this is more of a two-way street per the nature of negotiations. And with Newsmax pulling the feed, that is their right as deadline reached. Yes they could have left it on while negotiating, but they didn't have to as they must make the decision they feel is in their best interest. So Newsmax has a part in this as well. It is not all on DirecTV for the situation.
Your "obviously" is wrong. I have never once said or hinted at what news I watch. Stop trying to make your feelings/bad assumptions as facts. I have only been commenting on the situation between DirecTV and Newsmax, not anything about the content on any news channel.

It will all come out in the House of Representatives.

If the House wants to pay the fee Newsmax wants, then let them. As long as they don't pass on that cost to me as I don't need my bill higher.

@Juniper it is being Reported on Newsmax website that it was AT&T that Cancelled Newsmax, NOT a Feed Pull or Non-Contract... They Report it as a CENSORSHIP Move by AT&T, the same way it DEPLATFORMED the OAN Channel in April... Just when the new DirecTV Stream seemed to be the 🐈 Cat's Meow, AT&T decides to alienate more Conservatives 😔

With OANN there was no negotiation. They announced months ahead of time that the agreement would just be allowed to expire. Newsmax on the other hand has been in negotiations. Current expectation is negotiations have stalled (hence all the cry-out as each side makes announcements in their favor) and would then officially continue. Not impossible they could announce a full parting of ways, but more info still to come.
If it were anything close to a "censorship" issues, then negotiations wouldn't have happened in the first place.

Juniper, I have DTV Stream and I paid for my stream boxes up front. You made a broad assumption about returning equipment "assuming" that all equipment belongs to DTV.
