CBS Prime Time Segue Problem
I have noticed an annoying problem when watching CBS network prime time programs on Directv here in the Albuquerque area.
When watching any CBS network prime time program, I see the segue (transition) from the end of a scene to commercial interrupted by black screen/no audio for about 3 to 5 seconds. When a commercial is about to begin, the program is cut off and goes to black for about 5 seconds. Then, you hear the very end of audio from the scene that just ended, then goes into commercial. This happens only on CBS, only on Directv but does not happen when watching the same programing on the terrestrial air channel directly from the local station. In this area, that would be KRQE, channel 13 here in Albuquerque.
This has been going on for a very long time and I am at a loss as to why this is happening and why it has not been corrected. I have worked in video/audio transmission for many years and do not understand what is happening here. Can anyone explain why this is happening and why it has not been corrected? It has gotten very annoying.

I see no one has responded to this question. I find it hard to believe that no one, has seen this problem happening on Directv's transmission of CBS prime time programs, especially here in Albuquerque.

@jaceto, that’s weird.@DIRECTVhelp would normally respond in a few minutes or seconds. I am also waiting for them to respond on my post and what they think about the ideas.

I had almost the exact same problem on CBS here in NC. I put up with it for about a month. Directv tech support could not figure it out. I saw a post on the forum that suggested that they were working on it.
I had an old system. I did an equipment swap and to the Genii system and the problem went away.
