What are your receiver models? How is your DIRECTV system wired? Have you been able to connect to the Internet in the past? Do you have a SWM LNB, SWM multi switch, or a legacy non-SWM LNB with two wires going to each DVR?

you will need to run a coax cable from your router location to the closest SWM splitter that has an available open port. You would then connect the BB DECA to your router via an ethernet cable and to an AC outlet. This is why a BB DECA is recommeded to be insalled professioanally by DIRECTV

@pbollig
Until you provide us with the receiver models as well as whether your system is SWM or non-SWM based (can also be told if you have a Genie), we can’t do anything with what you have told us thus far.

Well the Genie receivers don’t use the Connected Home adapter. Genies either get connected wirelessly over Wireless Wi-Fi or over an Ethernet connection.
Are you sure you are choosing the correct Wi-Fi network ( SSID) and inputting the right password? Do other devices connect to your network fine? What error does the Genie show? Any way for you to try an Ethernet connection to the Genie?

DO you have any Wired Internet Connections? IF so Connect a Lan cable to the GENIE and to your Router/Switch or Fiber modem --IF it is NOT close get a long Lan cable and lay it out and see if you can connect.
Your Wireless Internet Connection Firewall may be blocking a outgoing port.
