Can I uninstall a pre installed app?

When I tried to sign in to my Prime Video account for the first time after getting DIRECTV something went wrong with the QR code. Now the app will open but I can’t sign in to my account. I checked my Amazon account and it is fine. I contacted Amazon and they said I should uninstall and reinstall the app. After trying that I find out that DIRECTV does not allow me to uninstall a pre installed app. Is there a workaround for this issue?  Should I just download and install another prime video app?  Help please.
