We're here to help get you connected, @dgas96

Just to clarify, did you try rebooting your iPhone as well when you experienced this? Is your phone still able to connect to your Wi-Fi and browse your internet?

Do you know how long this has been occurring for?

Finally, could you let us know the full error message you receive, including the Error Code number?

Let us know, and we will do our best to assist!

Yes, I rebooted my IPhone several times and my phone is connected to my wi-fi and is able to search the internet.  I just noticed this problem a several weeks ago.  I have the same issue with my IPad.  My IPad also is able to connect to the internet but won't work with the U-verse app.   The full message I receive when trying to connect to my U-verse receivers is "Wi-Fi network not found"   then under that "Please check your internet settings and try again".   There isn't a code visible that I can find

Hello.
You’re trying to use the remote function in the Uverse app?

Are you using a personal router?

@dgas96,

Could you also let us know whether this is happening upon launch, or when trying to access a specific feature? This will help us determine whether it is a networking issue or an account issue.

Also, just as our ACE @gr8sho stated, there hiccups can arise if you are using a personal or 3rd Party router instead of the AT&T provided router. When you are trying to use the app are you connected to your home's Wi-Fi?

Let us know, we look forward to hearing back from you!

I'm using the AT&T route.  It seems other features on the app are working.  I was able to schedule to record a show.  But I'm unable to use the remote feature.  A few weeks ago, only a few of my 6 receivers showed, now none show. When asked to set up receivers it says, "Wi-Fi network not found"

Make sure that you've enabled communication between U-verse TV and the U-verse app.

Follow the process in the provided guide and let us know if it worked or not.

I have followed all the directions and nothing changes.  The "My Enabled Devices" shows the receiver name, and all shows devices connected, showing my IPhone.  But on my IPhone using the U-Verse app. keeps saying "Wi-Fi network not found"  Despite my wi-fi working and my phone connected to wi-fi.  The wi-fi router is the AT&T provided

Rebooting your router could help. Unplug it from its power source, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in.

Then see if you're able to use the remote feature.

Thanks for responding.  All I can say is this feature has never been reliable for me.  Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t.  Good luck finding any help other than the reboot suggestions.

AT&T has such horrible service, I'm afraid to reboot my router again.  Everytime I unplug or reboot I end up losing all my service.  Why don't AT&T do an update on it's app and u-verse to eliminate such problems?

I have same issue. All other functions in the app work…so it’s clearly connected to my receiver. I can watch shows on my dvr! But when I switch to remote mode, the first button I touch prompts the WiFi connection error. All att equipment. I also get the error when going into Settings…Receivers.

My suggestion is to use the App Store review and leave a negative one.
In any case I have such low expectations at this point as to expect nothing.  And FWIW, I see the same issue as well using my Orbi in Access Point mode, and so basically have written off using the function.   It’s just one of the many problems the product has that will remain unfixed.

I think this is probably due to default privacy settings in the recent iOS update. With the latest iOS, you have to grant permission to access the LAN. This setting is under Privacy->Local Network. Only the U-verse app isn’t showing up in the list here! I think the app probably needs to be updated to “request” LAN access.

Even if all that were true, we’re still here talking about something that doesn’t work and that no one wants to take ownership for and resolve.  There is no formal method for customers to report problems such as this.
