Why is my streaming connection on my smart tv suddenly pausing to sync multiple times in a few minutes

I have had this tv for about a year now and have only ever streamed tv with it. It is right next to the modem and never had an issue with ATT stream but since the change to Directv stream it has started pausing and syncing a lot. My internet is not having issues and other devices are fine. Yes, I have reset the modem multiple times, both red button and unplug.
