AT&T's agreements with programmers expire from time to time. We are usually able to obtain renewals or extensions of such agreements, but in rare cases, we may be required to cease carriage of channels.
That is where AT&T TV Promise comes in. With AT&T TV Promise you can:
Find details about your channel
Check to see if you qualify for a temporary price adjustment
Information on why TV Prices go up
And more
Note: If you have a question or concern about channels on DIRECTV, please visit https://forums.directv.com/.
I pay for a device I am not receiving what I signed up for.
I pay double nearly for the basic minimal channels...continue to see special prices approximately 50 percent lower than my current payment On advertising and commercials...? Why can’t I pay the advertised amount in th ads? was paying the lower amount then after a period of time it went up to twice the original price.
In attempting to get a reduced rate of the phone and directv And contacted direct and att looking for answers for a less expensive package price.... no good answers for limited income users, or retired people struggling to keep bills paid and try to have some entertainment
Contacted att for similar options and no answers available. Investigated bundling with their internet service. So will consider other sources that can provide sattelite, internet and my phone service. Contually told they can not provide internet in my area.... why!
No reasonable explanation..
This game they play every dam year.
Greedy and just say fuck the users!
a great percentage of this disgust is because the phone continues to fluctuate from 2 bars down to one bar most of the time and I may see three bars on slight occasion
Again no reasonable explanation for extreme low signal power
Have been looking at other service providers,
Should not have any difficulty aquiring addition service at a lower rate.
Dropped calls, echoes in the background,
Overflowing conversations...!!!!
Searching for a better service with less false advertising, best signal, service and best price for tv. Internet and telephone.
Quit screwing the people with your artifial pricing, price increases and lack of control of the service you implied you can provide... it’s your responsibility to provide th stations you contracted to provide.
Every network negotiates with a server (re: AT&T) to have their programming carried. While most of the time contracts continue without interruption, sometimes those negotiations can go badly (re: NFL network).
I don't know what NBC specific programming changes you are referring to.
I live in New Orleans Louisiana and there is a contract speed between hurst television and Directv. Hers television is locally WDSU television. I have been a DIRECTV customer for over 13 years and I hope that Directv and her resolve this matter quickly as this is one of my favorite stations. I have paid my bill on time for 13 years. Please resolve this matter quickly
The majority of the shows from over-the-air networks can be viewed via the station websites or via a streaming device such as a Roku or AppleTV.
If you want to negotiate a lower rate, you are free to do so at any time. This lower rate will be far more than the few cents your bill would go down when U-Verse or DirecTV loses a channel due to greed by the channel owner. However, it is up to you, the customer, to remember to call back to re-negotiate or cancel the channel package before the promotional rates expire. A few years ago, I lost my CBS for a month or so. When I got it back, I called up and got $10 off one monthly bill.
We watch Pursuit all the time, but today went to watch a show that was recently recorded and saw that the channel is suddenly no longer available. I haven’t seen anything saying this channel was going away and it still shows as part of our package on the channel lineup. Anyone else having this issue?
I am assuming the contract ran out and the network that owns Pursuit was too greedy so att pulled it. But that's too good to be true (IMO). So more likely they are currently in negotiations and it's that network that pulled the program to get customers to complain. It's is a tried and true extortion technique the networks use to try to get att to give in. Eventually they both compromise and and then we all end up paying the price with increased fees.
ATT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the HECK ARE YOU GREEDY A**ES DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You've already pulled the NFL channel and now the Pursuit channel!!!!!! Why don't you pull some of the USELESS channels that NOBODY (yet you charge us for them) watches!!!!!
That is bull crap that we no longer have channel 1644 I’m thinking of going to a different cable company because I am very mad about this that’s all I have to say
According to that pdf, "Pursuit HD (channel 1644 in HD) (This channel would be replaced by LOOK HD (channel 186 and 1186 in HD)". So replacing a sports/outdoor channel with a 24/7 infomercial channel. Thanks AT&T.
On tap for June 2019 is CBS Sports Network (channel 643 and 1643 in HD).
@Yarddog -- U-Verse isn't cable. If you wish to switch, keep in mind:
1) Early Termination Fees can apply.
2) Contracts with other providers and their channels expire all the time. When they do, those channels will be pulled with no adjustment to your bill other than it going up, maybe 2-3 times per year.
It appears that WPMI NBC has been removed from my line up. If this problem cannot be resolved I will be changing service. I pay enough to get the channels I want, NBC.

https://tvpromise.att.com/ is the AT&T website set up to address channel changes, disputes and issues.

If the contract to carry it was about to expire, it should be listed at http://programmingchanges.att.com

I expect to see a decrease in my bill if you are removing channels. May have to look at going back to Charter

@jokasu - If you read my reply in that other thread post 6 you will see I made a snarky comment on rates. No they won't go down. They always go up.
