Volume much louder on AXS TV on Uverse

The default volume on the Uverse AXS TV channel is much louder than any other channels.  This is in the Cleveland area. It's been this way for several months now. It's a real pain when you switch back and forth between it and another channel.

Let's see if we can help get your volume back to normal, @.

Thank you to @Constructive for the useful information.

Here is a forums article with volume changes in channels, that should help you. This explains that you should check to see if the volume is different from HD to SD channels.

Let us know if this helps.

There doesn't appear to be a SD channel for AXS TV to compare it to. What I'm having an issue with is the HD AXS TV channel (#1106) is much louder than any of the other HD channels. All the other HD channels are at pretty much the same volume. I did verify that the digital audio output is set to surround sound. This has to be an issue with AXS as it is the only channel exhibiting the problem.

Hi @ohdad9224, we are listening to your sound difference concerns.

Unfortunately, AT&T services does not control the broadcasting audio signal sent from the networks.

  • Some modern TV settings have in their settings have safeguards to prevent sound volume increases.

If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.
