Video constantly FREEZES

This app is awful. I am watching on my phone and the picture constantly freezes! I have to keep exiting and opening the app and it will work for a little while and then freeze. I am using AT&T wi-fi. I am almost at the point where I have to find and alternative. I have not seen a fix for this issue but I do not think this issue is limited to just me.

To get your system to refresh itself, reboot your receivers (either by pressing and holding the power buttons for 10 seconds or unplugging the power cord from the wall and plugging it back in after 10 seconds), then uninstall and reinstall the app and let us know if the app is still freezing.

Yes - I uninstalled and reinstalled the app

I have AT&T's internet connection - good bad or middle of the road, it's what you provide

I'm using my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus to access the app - fully updated

Have you tried using the app on other mobile devices? If so are you having the same trouble with them?

 

If you are having trouble with your Wi-Fi, it would explain the buffering. What internet plan do you have, and how many devices are you using at a time on average?

I have  Uverse 3oo with Internet 50 . I work from home so my laptop is the only other device connected during the day. However, I have 4 boxes.

You likely have two things working against you.  First is the router section in AT&T gateways is poor for functions like WiFi calling and streaming video.  Second has to do with Uverse streaming service itself to mobile devices.  It's always been spotty at best.  I'm watching an English football match on NBCSN, and the quality is just pathetic. Constant stop and resume, image breakup as well.   

Given the age and state of the product, it's doubtful anything will change to improve.

@gr8sho  Thank you for your honesty. I'd rather be told this is how it is rather and nothing can be done than run a bunch of tests that will not do anything to improve my situation. You are appreciated.

You're welcome.  
A workable alternative to take advantage of your subscription is to watch using the channel’s app.  Most networks have their own app to view live stream and on demand content. On PC or mac, the equivalent method is achieved via browser.  
If streaming to smartphone is still having issues, a better router should help.

Why does my Galaxy Note tablet play and freeze repeatedly....I'm using the Paramount app...I can use my DirecTVStream without any problem...What could the trouble be?
