UVERSE CUSTOMERS! CAN YOU ACCESS SHOWTIME ANYTIME?

Customer Svc in totally unaware of my issue.. Does anyone else have Showtime but are unable to access Showtime Anytime? I have the app, but no matter HOW I try to do the activate device process, I get an error saying I don't subscribe to Showtime. It COMES WITH THE U300 PACKAGE!! This has actually been going on for a long time, but I've been told so many different things by different Customer Svc Reps that I just give up and forget about it most of the time. But I recently saw other forum messages on the same issue dating back from 4 months to 4 years, so I am ANGRY! I believe this is a UVERSE issue not happening with Direct TV. I am stuck with UVerse due to "too many trees" and this is just our most constant problem with Uverse ever since Direct TV became the preferred product. (We have to reboot so often just to watch TV it's crazy.)

I talked to a manager in the foreign office yesterday who was interested enough in why this is happening that he opened a ticket to send "to the back office" and assured me he WILL solve this mystery. (I honestly believe he will .......try.)

So! Interested to know if any other poor old tossed off UVersers out there are watching Showtime ANYTIME  (the streaming sevice/app....not just regular Showtime - that's working.) If so, please share how!!

I went to the showtimeanytime website, selected AT&T Uverse as my provider, when it took me to login at AT&T, AT&T recognized that I was on my home network and allowed me to check a checkbox to allow automatic logins.  I then proceeded to be able to view a Movie.

So, for simplicity of troubleshooting and avoiding a device, etc.:  What happens when you try the above in a PC browser?  EXACTLY, including messages... maybe screenshots.

I have to do everything on my phone. I have tried the Showtime Anytime App, too. The first thing it asks for is the code that I'd get if I tried to watch the app on TV. Once I enter that code on my phone, I choose ATT Uverse as my provider,  then get the message that I do not presently subscribe to Showtime.  No where, no matter where I try to do that activation code crap, am I ever asked to login (using the app rather than the website, I think, is where I see that thing you mentioned "we see you are on a home device" or something like that "so you never have to login". When on the phone with cust svc yesterday, they kept telling me to login, but I told them (many times) that I'm never prompted to. That tells me that when using the Showtime Anytime App and my TV to do that activate device thing, Showtime RECOGNIZES me and doesn't need me to login! But then it fails, saying I don't have Showtime.

Perhaps I didn't understand what you suggested I try, but I'm not using a PC in all of this.

I downloaded the app to my iPhone, choose Uverse, logged in and it played the movie selected.  I'm on my home network & not using data.

Have you tried Uninstalling the app and then downloading it again?

Using the App hides some information from you that might be useful, which is why I suggested trying a PC.

It appears that either:

(1) You're using an account that's not linked to your AT&T U-verse TV service, or

(2) AT&T has an issue with the link between your account and your U-verse TV service.

When you log into the AT&T site with the account information you use with Showtime Anywhere, does it take you to straight your U-verse account?  Do you also have AT&T Wireless, and at anytime have you clicked the link "Combine all your AT&T accounts to one ID" on the AT&T profile, or otherwise linked the accounts?

Thanks to all, but we finally figured it out. It wouldn't work following the Activation instructions displayed on the TV for PHONE. I finally suggested that my husband go to his computer and try it, since his TV is the "main" one, nearest the Tower/router. That did it!

Bottom line....there is an issue with activating Showtime Anytime on the TV using your cell phone. Do it on a computer. I know that someone suggested that, but since the instructions for "activate this device" give both options, I stupidly assumed both would work - and that if one didn't, the other one wouldn't either. Showtime needs to fix those instructions or fix the phone option.......not everyone has a computer in the basement!

Thanks guys!
