uverse channel lineup (on your site) up says U300 and all channels include HD in my zip code but Ilost HD when I changed

I switched from U450 to U300 recently. I carefully looked at your line up for channels and it specifically states it includes HD in my area code and up to yesterday. (look under "manage your plan", go to "compare channels")

However my HD was cancelled I have called multiple times and spent hours on the phone with billing and IT.  They say from your end it shows U300 does not have HD. No one has been able to help me.Either there is an error in what billing and IT can see or ATT is misrepresenting the HD issue on the customer screen

My decision was based on the info you posted thus you have a contractual obligation to honor it, but your IT representatives say they can't . I offered to send a screenshot but they say they are not allowed to give me an email to send it to. In short I am not getting the service I signed up for and I am getting bad customer service. Please address this issue so it can be fixed(and don't ask me to call the uverse number i've done so 4 times). Kindly send me an email and give me the HD I paid for. I have been a loyal customer for 20 years

This is a customer-to-customer forum and not a way to contact AT&T.

The best you can hope is for @ATTHelp to offer a DM.

U-300 can get you HD (for the channels you subscribe to) for $10 additional per month.

Thanks  to all .ATT called (per them from presidents office) but they still don't have an explanation as to why the site for the uverse customer says HD included in all packages (nothing about $10)while their IT and billing people say differently. They stated they are looking into it.  They now have the screenshot of their page because I sent it  to FCC, who forwarded it to them. Will keep you posted BTW when I posted I did not realize this was not customer service which is why I asked for response

As noted in my reply in the older thread, AT&T decided to start including HD in the U-200 and U-300 packages somewhere around 5 years ago.  Subscribers who signed up for U-verse service after that date have HD and cannot not have HD, their U-200 and U-300 include HD.  Subscribers who signed for U-verse service before that date only get HD included in U-450 and otherwise have to pay the $10 HD fee separately to get it with U-200 and U-300.  The website header is designed for new customers who signed up after that date and doesn't contemplate older customers who signed up prior.

So, there's a U-200 that includes HD and one that doesn't.  There's a U-300 that includes HD and another that doesn't.  If you signed up prior to XXXX date, your U-200 and U-300 will not include HD (but, it's supposed to be $10 cheaper than those that signed up later).  There's no way to tell from the description or code anywhere on the bill or on the C.S.R. screen which version of the U-200 or U-300 you have.  The price might tell a competent CSR, but that's it.

There probably is a magic account number cutoff, i.e. if your account number is greater than this you're a new customer and have HD included.

My beef with what you say @my thoughts is that you imply that you can switch between "standard" and "all included."  First, "all included" is really just "hd included."  And while switching between no-HD and HD-included can be done (by high level support escalation), the average CSR not only can't do it, he will not even understand what you're asking for.   There is also the fact that you can't tell the difference between "standard" and "all included" on the bill or anywhere else.

When you change packages you will not change between STANDARD and HD INCLUDED; you will change to whatever your subscriber baseline is.  If you are an "HD INCLUDED" subscriber, then U-200 and U-300 will have HD.  And if you are not, you won't.

It's misleading at best.

@JefferMC

Unless I'm totally mistaken, after a certain point, AT&T raised prices $10 on U-200 and U-300 and included HD.

Because I subscribed before that date, I pay $10 extra for HD. I also have the option of saving $10 and not viewing in HD.

People who signed up after that date may not necessarily have that option, UNLESS they're lucky enough to get someone who knows what they're doing and can "do magic" to get someone into that package.

...amirite?

@baseballisback  You are correct.  Sign up before magic date, U-200/U-300 have no HD (it's available for $10/month).  Sign up after magic date, U-200/U-300 have HD included (and I think do cost $10 more).  U-450 always includes HD regardless of your account signup date.

People who signed up after that date may not necessarily have that option, UNLESS they're lucky enough to get someone who knows what they're doing and can "do magic" to get someone into that package.

It takes a "Becky goes and finds someone who knows what's going on" type of fix, if you get my drift.  Possibly OoP could do it.

I understand why the OP is upset.  I told Becky that I expected to hear this very same problem over and over because of it.  It hasn't been quite as frequent as I thought it would be, OP is not the first.  As far as I know, I was the first to complain about it, but OP isn't second, or third.
