U-Verse app stopped working on my 4K Fire Stick
After I accepted ATT's new terms, I could not log into the U-Verse app via my 4K Fire Stick. U-Verse is giving me an authentication error and instructing me to try back later. (It is not a credentials problem, used erroneous User & PW to test).
I rebooted the Fire Stick, I removed and reinstalled U-Verse app but keep getting the authentication check back later message.

Same issue here, I am getting a care code 205.4. Posted a message on the forum. Tried what @ATTHelp said to do, but that didn't work for me.

Try using your att email, not your primary email. You can find it under your profile.

The app doesnt look the same, its a different color and uverse will not open. I have reset password, did not work.

Router restart. Same issue. Exact message now is “error authenicating, please try again”

Every other Application works fine. Uverse app will not open, looks like its a different shade of color than it was before also.

I finally fixed it. Here is the fix that worked for me.
I use my personal email address (I've used for decades) when I sign up for any services; ATT included. It is not an ATT.net email account.
I singed up for ATT wireless phone and internet - U-Verse several years ago and always use my personal email to log in and conduct business/pay bills.
Log in to your accounts and click your profile overview and once on the page scroll down to Internet/TV/Phone account. Look at your Primary ID, mine is an ATT email address. ATT required me to use an ATT email address at the time I signed up for their service. I forgot all about this. You can not change your Primary ID.
I logged on to U-Verse using "my" ATT mail account as my user ID and existing password and U-Verse on the internet worked. No check back later message.
No further comments re ATT - U-Verse

Right, and there's support to link different email addresses that used to work, and it did for a while, but in the end just left it with the att.net one. There’s yet another email domain that was also related to yahoo that complicated things even further. Currently.com.

Hello @JoeCustomer do you have to use the att email to log in on your phone? I used the same email that I log into phone/att/etc.and this is the only one that wont open for me.
