U-Verse App No Longer Displaying All Recorded and Scheduled Shows

Since late December 2020 my U-Verse app on my iPhone 12 has stopped displaying all recorded and scheduled shows. Most of my recorded and scheduled shows display, but some do not. My U-Verse TV box displays everything correctly. I have rebooted my U-Verse TV box, cleared my app cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the U-Verse app, ensured my iPhone is up to date, and used my app as a remote to ensure it is connect to my U-Verse TV box. I finally spoke with an AT&T representative who told me that they were aware of the issue and their engineers were working on a solution. That was more than a month ago. What is going on?

Happy to help with your U-verse app @dkirkjohnson .

Your U-verse TV receiver must first be set to allow communication and control from the U-verse app. These instructions guide you through that pairing process allowing you to connect to your TV using the U-verse app on your smartphone.

What information was given to you about the representative you spoke with?

If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.

Thank you for contacting us on AT&T Community Forums!

My U-Verse app communicates with my  U-verse TV receiver, and has for years.

Hello @dkirkjohnson,

This sounds like a thorn in your side. We are happy to help!

  1. Is this issue only happening with the iphone app on your iphone 12?
  2. Have you tested using any other phones or devices?
  3. What version of IOS are you running?
  4. What troubleshooting steps have you already performed?

This may be a little extreme,

Make sure that you have backed up your phone before doing this. Looking forward to seeing if this helps.

I went on vacation out of the country and just returned after 2 weeks. Magically, the shows that were not displaying are now doing so. AT&T must have fixed their issue. I didn't have to do anything. In the future, I suggest AT&T accept their failures and take the responsibility of fixing their issues as opposed to automatically assuming the issue must lie with their customer. This is not the first time I have experienced this with AT&T and unfortunately it will most likely not be the last. I am not an AT&T fan at the moment.
