Uverse app login error on Iphone

I updated the Uverse app on my iphone and now can not login.  I get an error saying 'the certificate for this server in invalid.  You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be udvr.asp.att.net .."

There is an answer to this back in 2016 saying to reinstall the app and reset the ipad in that case which I have done and still get the error message.

Any ideas?

Hi there, @jklangen789. Let's get this U-verse app working again.  

 

First and foremost, what you need to do is a password reset for the login. Please use the steps located in this My AT&T Account support article. Just a fyi, this article is for email, but the process is the same for AT&T account management.

 

Here are the steps in the article:

  1. Go to att.com/myatt.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

Next, you will need to uninstall the app from the device. Then clear the app cache. If you do not know how to clear the app cache, then you can contact Apple for help.

 

After clearing the app cache, restart the device, then reinstall the app again from app store. 

 

Once the app has been reinstalled try logging in with your username(full email address) and brand new password. 

Try these things, and let us know if they work for you.

I deleted the Uverse app then shut the iphone off, restarted the iphone then reinstalled the Uverse app.  I was able to log on then.
