UVerse App BUFFERING

Just reinstalled the UVerse app on my phone and it still stops to buffer. The app itself is slow, because I was watching a live TV show on UVerse and it would stop for buffering every 15 seconds or so, and then I jumped over to the TV show’s network app on my phone and the same live show streamed without any buffering at all! Nothing changed except the app I was using on my phone to watch the show. The UVerse app is useless for actually watching anything and I find myself logging in with my UVerse credentials to watch TV shows, movies, etc on other apps that stream without having to buffer.

Followup on my post … just minutes later the UVerse app is now into a perpetual loading mode. What a useless app!

In addition to uninstalling and reinstalling the app, try the following troubleshooting options from our help and solutions guide for the U-verse app:

  1. Restart the device.
  2. Delete cache. Varies on phone, browser or device operating system.
  3. Verify that you have the latest software/operating system on your phone or tablet
  4. Turn off other apps that may be in use.
  5. In some instances, restoring the phone has resolved app function. You may lose pictures and other data if this is performed. 
  6. Also, be sure to report/post a review in the applicable software store for your affected device to help address an issue.

Let us know if this fixed the buffering, or if it persists.
