Uvers DVR not playing back the full recorded show

Several shows that I record on the DVR are not paying back.  Some play back the firs 10 to 15 minuets and the appear to be stuck.  I'v reset the DVR but it contiunes to occur.  I have one DVR that records and store the shows that is connected via Wi-Fi to the one nearer to the smart TV

@RPC

Hello.  You have Uverse TV with the wired DVR in one part of the residence, a WAP connected to the gateway, and a wireless settop box located in another area connected to a TV, is that right ?   Unless there's a distance issue between the wireless hardware, there shouldn't be any issues with use of the DVR.

Hi RPC, Same issue for me but specific to one channel: Animal Planet. Anything I set up to record either by "episode" or "series" looks like it records 1 hour 3 minutes, but as you mention it really only records 15 or 16 minutes. I've done all the resets, restore, unplugging, restarting... No help. Router is close to TV so distance is definitely not the issue.

Let's help you get your DVR to record the Animal Planet programs in full, cw0!

Since resetting and restarting the DVR hasn't helped, try to troubleshoot your DVR by performing a non-disaster recovery. This will fully reset and refresh your receiver, and could get it to function like normal. Don't worry, you won't lose recordings doing this. Here are the steps:

  1. Unplug the receiver or DVR power cord from the wall or back of the box.

  2. Wait 10 seconds.

  3. Plug in the receiver and DVR.

  4. When three white dots appear on the screen, unplug the receiver/DVR again.

  5. Repeat this process two more times.

  6. Plug the receiver/DVR back in on the third time and leave in. Three white dots appear followed by a gear with a status bar at the bottom of the screen. If the Recovery screen does not appear, repeat the steps above.

If the problem persists, you should try a disaster recovery. This will cause you to lose recordings. Here are the steps for the disaster recovery:

  1. Hold down the Down arrow key + OK key +Power key outlined in red at the same time to power down the DVR.

  2. Continue pressing these keys until a gear appears on the screen and release the Down arrow + OK keys.

  3. If the gear on the TV screen appears, wait until completion.

  4. If the gear on the TV screen does not appear, repeat the disaster recovery process.

We also suggest restarting your AT&T gateway. Like performing the non-disaster recovery, it will refresh and reset your connection between the gateway and the receiver. Just unplug the power connection behind the gateway for about 15 seconds. Then plug it back in, and wait for the broadband light to turn green. This should take about 5 minutes or less.
