Streaming Apps

After installation by an ATT rep today of my combo ATT receiver/dvr, we are unable to access and sign into the streaming apps which we are paying members and able to do previously.  Is there a quick fix?  We have already rebooted the gateway and receiver a couple of times.  Thx much!!

UverseTV has nothing to do with any streaming services.

lol.  So true.  I guess likely our TV mfg. issue.  We had it before but suddenly lost it today as the new receiver/dvr was installed today.  All else works!  Thx!!!

There is no combo receiver/DVR.

I think ATT has something else new now that we plan to check out that has streaming in its name but yes, we have the old school (1 unit only) ATT receiver/dvr that records/plays programs.  It was installed today as a replacement to just a standard receiver without dvr capabilities.  My understanding is ATT no longer sells/installs these for "new" customers.

You're correct. DirecTV Stream is similar to other streaming services. The primary differences seem to be that DirecTV Stream has numerous programming tiers (similar to U-Verse) and that DirecTV Stream has the regional sports channels.

Another difference is that DirecTV Stream has a receiver available to some customers. This receiver is not necessary and can, in some cases be kept by the customer after service is canceled.

Just like other services, you could also use a Roku, game system, Chromecast, etc.

Will there be a date when U-Verse is "turned off?"

When is this date?

Only AT&T knows. Until then, current U-Verse customers are allowed to keep U-Verse. If they switch away, they cannot go back.
