Stop picture freezing for good

Our main tv is connected directly to the DVR via HDMI cable and I have a lot of picture freezing mostly right after channel change ( ot doesn't matter which channel come from or go to)

My 2nd tv is hooked up wirelessly and has no issues with freezing.

Unverse quality doesn't equal what I'm paying.

Must be time to change providers.

Hello. What did att say when you called to report trouble with your service?

If you’re actually looking for suggestions on how to get it working better, need more info such as how the DVR is wired back to the gateway.

Hey there @sparty55 , We are here to help with your U-verse video concern.

Our wonderful ACE @gr8sho is correct in that we will need more information to best advice you and figure out the root cause of the freezing picture.

  1. When did it start and was there any changes done to your setup?
  2. Did you try the troubleshooting video available on the tv?
  3. Have you tried troubleshooting U-verse TV DVR ?
  4. Did you check the connections are secure?
  5. Is the DVR connected to the gateway by coax or Ethernet?
  6. Are you able to swap your current HDMI cable for another?
  7. Are you able to connect using component cables instead of the HDMI?

Since the freezing seems isolated to the DVR and not the wireless receiver it could mean that the (Edited per community guidelines) cause of the freezing is between the tv and DVR. We would love this opportunity to assist you in working this out improve the quality you are looking for from us.

Thankyou for reaching out to us.
