Starz and ATT Uverse

I have ATT Uverse and included with my package is STARZ.  I also have the STARZ app.  However, when I try and use the app, I get the try STARZ for 7 days free.  There doesn't seem to be a way to sign into the app.

How are you trying to access the Starz app?  ROKU?  Firestick?  SmarTV?

There should be a Log In option along side the Sign Up option....at least there is on my Firestick & Roku.

I am using a firestick.  I spent over an hour chatting with ATT last evening.  They kept shifting me to different people.  11-15 different people in an hour with no results.  I wanted to get the transcript but they turned me off before I could hit the button.  Enough rant. I followed the prompts with the firestick STARZ app and still got the start your free trial now button, nothing else.  Was never asked who my provider was, as happens with other apps, such as showtime.  Very frustrating.  The chat room kept telling me to download the uverse app, which I couldn't through either firestick or Samsung.

After reading your post, I realized that I had never added the Starz app to my Firestick.  I've used it on my Roku, just not the Firestick .

I downloaded the app from the app store and upon opening it for the first time, there was a "Log In" and a "Sign Up" option in the upper right hand corner on the opening screen.

Are you downloading the app or using a pre-installed app on the Firestick?

I downloaded the app from the app store in firestick.  Opened it up and got the same start your free trial. No log in option

It seems that on Roku and Amazon platforms they tend to have two versions of the same streaming app. The newer or recent apps will be “standalone” for Cable cord cutters and the original app for TV subscribers

Be careful.  Amazon sells Starz subscriptions too and I’ve been tricked into using that app thinking I was already a subscriber.   Made them refund what they charged.

@bogar90706 brings up a good point. I know Showtime does exactly that. There's a Showtime app for people who subscribe to Showtime via a TV provider and a different one for people who want to pay Showtime directly.

I don't think Starz does that, however. I think they only have one app.
