My channel 51 was Ion Plus under the call letters WSFJ. This channel (for me) is also on 468. Channel 468 is listed as Ion Plus. It's the same exact shows on both..the same order, the same description, everything.
Just over the past day or two, my channel 51 got knocked off the air for some reason. The info is still there, but I see a black screen with a message about technical difficulties.
There *is* a channel known as "Start TV" which is a subchannel. With few exceptions, U-Verse does not carry these subchannels.
I seem to get a national feed of MeTV and I also get my local 4.2 (ION) on channel 195.
Never heard of "Start TV" before today. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with Scripps Howard, ION or that acquisition.
I would welcome any information OP would like to share about Start TV, such as the DMA that OP is in (zip code will do), channel number that it was on, etc.
StartTV Network is channel 49 for me. It does not come up except the black screen with "technical difficulties" Is this network goning or what is going on?
I know of no issues with StartTV or with Winston Broadcasting Network, the owner of the station that has StartTV on 55.5. I don't know why AT&T U-verse would be carrying it, though. It almost never rebroadcasts that sort of digital subchannel.
Is Channel 7 ( 1007 HD ) still working (assuming that's where WBNX is)?
Att has seemingly arbitrary rules on what subchannels it chooses to retransmit. I get both Start TV and Ion Plus as OTA, but only the latter is on my Uverse guide. The fact that channels are showing in your guide with a black screen is indicative of ongoing changes to the service. Att has no meaningful way of hearing from its customers on matters such as this.

@gr8sho and @JefferMC may want to chime in. I think this was discussed elsewhere.

The issue that I mentioned earlier in this thread has since been fixed. Hopefully the issue with START TV has also been resolved.
The two issues may or may not have been related.
