Set up series to record and only last 2 weeks

I have always used the recording of a series as my go to. Lately the series only records for 2 weeks and then it is dropped. I don't understand what has happened.

Why would that have anything to do with it? I have one series that AT&T had not updated to nightly until today. It scheduled the series for Monday nights, but not for the rest of the week and today it is showing up nightly.
