Set Up DVR for Access thru UVERSE APP
I am trying to set up my DVR so that I can watch recorded shows through the APP, but I am having problems. I have found the instructions but it says when you get to TERMS and SERVICE you have to click on OK to complete the Setup, but when I scroll down to the Bottom of T&S I never see a place to accept the terms.

You can manage your DVR but you cannot WATCH DVR content remotely with Uverse.
You can watch live or On Demand content on the app but not recordings.

I think I confused you, here is a Web Link that explains what I am trying to do and it's step 3 under "SET UP YOUR UVERSE TV RECEIVER", when I go to Terms of Service, I never see the "Accept and Continue" it talks about. If that step isn't completed then the App isn't going to do anything.

We recommended troubleshooting the app to try to get the Accept and Continue option to load when accepting the terms of service, arkhogfan.
Let us know if you tried the troubleshooting options we provided and if they helped or not.

It sounds like you're trying to set up the Application to directly control the TV Receiver (i.e. the remote control feature). Good luck with that. I'm not sure that still works.
You should be able to use the application to control recording on the DVR.

I know you can use the APP to control recordings, but according to the information in the Link in my post you can also Watch recordings once you get the receiver setup. That is a forum post dated 12/07/2022/

The ability to WATCH DVR recordings has never been an option with UVERSE TV.
I don't see any reference to WATCHING DVR content in that link.

You cannot EVER watch actual U-verse TV recordings using the App wither it is linked to the receiver or not.
The app will sometimes identify OnDemand content that is the same as a recording you have, and allow you to watch the OnDemand content via streaming, but this is still not showing you the recording. This has never been a feature of the U-verse TV app, and you should never expect it to become one.
I will look for the post you speak of and make comments/corrections/clarifications there as needed.

I give up.
We're going to need an actual link to the post that says you can do that because you can't. 🙄

Here is the link, https://www.att.com/support/article/u-verse-tv/KM1219551, and in reading it you are right it doesn't come out and say you can watch your recordings. I got to this link by doing a Google search. I have never gone through a Setup via channel 9301 like it says, but I have used the App to set up scheduled recordings and maybe record something one time. If you can't watch recordings through the APP, ATT should work on that, it would be wonderful!

Well....Uverse TV is a dying product (no new installs) so any chance of changes being made is slim & none.

I see nothing in KM1219551 that speaks of making or watching recordings in any way shape or form, from the app or otherwise.
