satellite receivers dvr not working

a few weeks ago our DVR  just dumped all our recordings for no reason, it then started recording again but then two weeks ago we couldn't access any of the recordings, when we selected a recording all we got was a blank screen. Then it started working again but now our satellite receivers cannot access the DVR, they all show no recordings but we can play recordings on the main receiver. The satellite receivers can receive broadcast tv ok and we can see upcoming programs to record but cannot play any. We have four wired satellite receivers and two wireless receivers, all get the "no recordings" message. What could be wrong. Obviously we have re-booted everything numerous times with no luck.

Did you, at any point in your powering off, turn off the Gateway, the DVR, the WAP and all the other receivers at the same time, and then turn on the Gateway, allowing it to boot up, then the DVR (allowing it to boot up to the point you can watch TV), followed by the WAP and other receivers?

Do you have U-verse TV or something else?

If so:

  1. Do the recordings appear on the TV connected to the DVR receiver?
  2. Can you watch live TV on any of your receivers?
  3. How are your wired receivers connected to the Gateway?  Coax or Ethernet?

TV DVR is working and can watch recordings, can watch live tv on all receivers, just not recordings on the satellite receivers. Ethernet connection to all but the wireless receivers. This is U-verse TV

Oh, yes, thank you, skeeterintexas.  I had intended to do that after/if he confirmed U-verse TV.

If you did as @JefferMC suggested, you did a WHOLE HOUSE REBOOT and that can solve many issues.

Well fix didn't last long, my wife started watching a movie and half way through the  receiver re-booted itself and when it came back up had no recorded programs on any of the satellite receivers. Still had them on the DVR receiver though, so looks like we have more issues then just a reboot will fix. Do we need to get a tech out here to finally fix this? Suggestions? Thanks!
