Receiver discovery failed with U-verse app
I have been trying to get my app to control my set-top box. It fails every time with "Receiver discovery failed" I am using an Android device. It used to work now all of a sudden I cannot get past this issue. I have gone through all the troubleshooting scripts. When I look at the page that shows the previously connected devices there are 14 some are duplicates. How do I just reset the whole thing? Or is there a way to get this to work? Reason: I have 2 TV's in the same room and had been using the supplied remote for one and the app for the other. So without this functionality it is really difficult to control them. Thanks for your time.

Because Uverse is being phased out, I wonder if some functions are no longer supported.
Normally one would suggest deleting the app and reloading it but I'd be concerned that that's no even possible.
I have the app on my iPhone and it's working as it should but others have reported a myriad of problems starting with no longer being able to log into the app.

AT&T just updated the app so I was thinking that there was an issue there? This morning I reset every receiver and rebooted the gateway but the problem still persists. I even reset the Android device as new to see if it was causing the issue.

@cwhiten
In several other threads on this topic it has been noted by myself and others this remote control function is not working. I have personally done extensive testing on both iOS and Android and they both fail in the same way.
We as customers have little say in the matter but what I do suggest is to go leave feedback in the App Store where you got the app from.
