problem with On Demand and Search feature

I'm having a problem with "Search" and 'On Demand.  I have 2 receivers and DVD receiver.  The problem is on all 3. I rebooted all receivers and the modem. Didn't fix the problem.  AT&T sent a tech to my house.  He said he had other calls just like mine.  The first call he replaced all the receivers, DVD receiver and modem but the problem was still there.  It's a known problem. Other's in the forum have the same problem.
