Poor online streaming

I have, within the last 3 weeks, begun to experience extremely poor streaming on my Samsung 55" HD TV. The TV is located about 50 ft. from the router. I tried adding a repeater/extender but no dice. We have a nearly identical TV which is working beautifully but is right on top of the router.

I'll be streaming a movie on Netflix or Amazon and the image will just freeze and I'll get the dreaded spinning circle. Rarely does the stream buffer catch up to allow the program to re-start.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Unplug the router for 30 seconds. Make sure you're not recording anything.

Plug it back in and wait for normal operations.

You can also temporarily unplug the streaming device (Roku, Apple TV) from the TV.

How fast is your internet? Call 800-288-2020 and see what they can do to upgrade speeds. (They could be able to do a free upgrade and you'd have no idea if you didn't call.)
