On demand freezing and skipping audio

When I try to watch shows on demand, the audio keeps cutting out and the stream freezes every 15-30 seconds.  Why is this happening?

I was having the same issue on Saturday while trying to watch a movie on HBO on-demand.  The video kept stopping, audio was not playing when video was, and then on screen it was telling me that it couldn't play the movie make sure the receiver was connected to the network.  Just general weirdness.

This was on my wireless receiver.  I reset the receiver and the issue cleared for about 5 minutes.  Came back.  I reset the AP for the wireless boxes and the actual receiver again to pair it back up.  The issue cleared after that.

Same here. I rented first man and ghost protocol and both are skipping like crazy. I've reported both instances and it keeps happening. I know it's not a bandwidth issue because I have fiber and l'm getting 800mbs down 600mbs up. It's like ATT cant get a handle on these things

We’re having same issue. Trying to watch First Man on HBO On Demand and video freezes and skips. It was in the evening as usual. Tech has been here before and fixed the problem with a different box but now months later issue happens again. My recordings and TV pause also stop working without reason. Sometimes reset will fix issue, sometimes issue goes away on their own but service is never consistently good. It’s so bad that we’ll sometimes stream U-verse OD movies from iPhone Max XS using Uverse App and mirror onto our 4K TV using Apple TV. Playback will be flawless but not 4K of course. However for some reason First Man wasn’t available OD from U-verse app so only choice was HBO OD via box. Seems ridiculous that ATT service is 20th century quality in this digital 21st century age. Have read threads from 14’ complaining of same issue & you would think it would be fixed by now. See lot’s of advertising on how great U-verse is but reality is far from it. Very frustrating. Doesn’t happen with Netflix or Prime which unfortunately only had First Man to purchase not rent. We usually avoid U-verse OD so feel we’re paying for nothing really. This time it couldn’t be helped.

It skips for me on Apple TV and paramount. Is there anything we can do to fix it?
