Oct 2019. Unable to login to U-verse iPhone app

Unable to login to U-verse iPhone app. I only get an error message. I have dumped and reinstalled the app but that’s useless. Same issue on the iPad. Same credentials work everywhere else.

Hello Ariel,

The error, attached, is simple: User name and PW are not accepted.

Same credentials, used through iOS and macOS browsers (Safari, Firefox, and Chrome) are accepted without issues whatsoever.

Thank you for reaching back to us! We suggest that you clear cache on your device, uninstall the app, restart the device and then reinstall the app to see if that helps! Please make sure you have the latest operating system on your device

I had already read and followed the same advice on your site. That did not help at all. I also have a brand new iPad (so, what cache?) that generated the very same error. Given that I'm not the only one with this issue, I suggest that your app is not yet fully compatible with iOS13. That and not cache is the issue.

Have you tried to reinstall the app? Please try reinstalling your app and changing your password to see if your able to sign-in.

Can you sign-in from a different device?

I tried reinstalling the app, yes. Changing the password is a bit of a hassle however. As I've indicated before, signing on through browsers from my iOS devices or a desktop Mac is no problem at all. The only problem is this app.
None of this "try this and try that" makes sense; a well-built iOS-savvy app works and that's it. If I had to go through these many loopy-loops with most other apps, I'd probably go back to a rotary phone.

Cannot Log In to U-verse App

I am having the same exact problem with U-verse app login error as posted by another user.  Is there a bug in the app login.  Very frustrating!!!

“ I cannot log in to U-verse app on my iPad and iPhone.  When I tried to log in to U-verse app on Friday, a message saying "Use your correct member ID (email address)" showed up even though I typed both the correct E-mail address and the password.  I even changed the password on myAT&T account, but I still got the same message and "your information did not match our records" after trying a few times.  I called AT&T customer support, but he was not able to resolve this problem after more than an hour and told me to wait for a day or two to try again.  I tried to log in the next day (Saturday), but it still did not work.  Then today (Sunday) I changed my password on myAT&T account again and waited for about two hours, but I still got the same messages "use the correct ID" after first try and "your info did not match our record" after second.  I cannot log in to U-verse app on my phone, either, because two days ago the customer support rep told me to log out and log in to see if I would be able to get in on the phone which I couldn't, of course!!!! How can this crap keep happening!!!??? “

We can shed more light on why you're unable to log in to the U-verse app, Gperplexe_d.

 

We're aware that some customers are unable to log in to the app and are working on a resolution. We don't have an estimated time of resolution right now, but we'll do our best to get the app back up and running as soon as possible.

 

If you need help with anything else, let us know. Make sure you create your own thread instead of commenting on an older one in case it gets closed.
