No close caption working on tv

Been having problems with close captioning for awhile. Parts of the convention didn’t print on screen. I only use cc to “fill in” the words I’ve missed it hasn’t been a major problem. Then today I noticed I didn’t have any cc. I thought my husband had turned it off but according to tv cc connected. Tried turning it off and back on but had no effect on it working. Have read through 24 pages of forum but can’t find a solution.

Let's get your closed captioning working again, @Gigibaby!

If the closed captioning feature is missing words, or not working at all, it's likely due to a technical issue with your receiver.

We recommend using our Troubleshoot & Resolve feature for your TV to see if that can get it working again.

Press Menu on the U-verse Remote Control.
Scroll down to Help, then press OK.
Select Information.
Scroll to Troubleshoot & Resolve, then press OK.
Select the area you want to troubleshoot.
Allow the interactive diagnostic test to run and complete.
Follow the onscreen instructions to attempt to resolve the issue online. Other options may include dispatching a technician or speaking to a Customer Care agent.

It's also possible that the closed captioning error is originating from the program provider. You may want to try seeing if they work better with different shows or channels.
