NewsMax moving locations
NewsMax is NOT going away. It is NOT changing tiers.
As of 11/16, NewsMax is moving from 1220 to 1209 on AT&T U-Verse lineups. This does not affect any other provider, as far as I know. Why is U-Verse doing this? It's anyone's guess.
In fact, I see NewsMax now on 1209. Go ahead and display 1209 if you don't already see it and hide 1220.
Press "menu" on your remote, then go to options, channel options, hide channels and press 1209.

I remember when AMC moved to 119/1119. I hid the old location (179X) before the move.
Hopefully AT&T/DirecTV will put a notice at the old location for a few days before they terminate that channel number. Maybe @davidbk can make sure that happens. (AT&T used to be...ahh...not good at the notices.)

@baseballisback & @Tiger593
I received confirmation that there are plans to run a message on 1220, informing users of the new location @1209, once the move is completed.
Thanks!

They learned their lesson!
(This probably also means I'll have to hide umpteen barker channels over the next week or so....they have a habit of running announcement channels besides the old location. Oh well...that's better than the old way of 27 posts over a week accusing AT&T of dirty pool, especially considering this is a political channel.)
