NBC vs DirecTV dispute forthcoming?
As of last I looked, the non-locals were up for renewal this month (or October?)...it seems like it's a repeat of the Disney dispute. Local channels affected with providers not named U-Verse.
Peacock to all DirecTV customers would be amazing.

Hopefully, we do not lose any channels for this round, and they can resolve it behind the scenes. You are right; gaining Peacock would be amazing we can hope, right?

I think the addition of Peacock is definitely more than likely.
What would be interesting is that it has a linear feed of Reelz, which is on U-300. Reelz isn't owned by NBC, but by the same people who own Ovation, which I think is also U-300.
I bet nothing changes there, but it would be interesting.
I don't follow wrestling at all, but I know that Reelz has (had?) wrestling which is blacked out on the Peacock feed because Peacock/NBC has other wrestling.

If they are trying to compete with Spectrum, then I would assume they will want to add as many streaming services as they can, as that seems to be the road that Spectrum is taking. Plus it might end up saving customers money in the long run! One can only hope!

You gotta realize that the content owners will want their apps on as many screens as possible. Thus, they'll probably demand access to apps the same way they demanded niche channels be carried.
Positive twist: This *should* end the people complaining about the lack of selections in the "on demand" menus.

FYI... any U-verse subs with SHOWTIME on their acct via U300+ as a bolt-on, have access to Paramount+ w/SHO app. Follow these simple instructions and be sure to use your U-verse credentials for primary or sub-accts.
If I have an existing Paramount+ subscription, how can I activate Paramount+ with SHOWTIME under my U-verse plan?
You will need to cancel your Paramount+ subscription, and choose between these options:
1.Register with a different email address for immediate access.
OR
Wait until your Paramount+ account expires before trying to link your DIRECTV log-in using the same email address.

The same is true with Max. Any subscriber to U-400 or U-450 gets the full Max access. In fact, I think the website where customers can add "HBO" on to their subscription individually (say U-200 with HBO) now says Max. (U-200 with Max.) This subscription would get the HBO/Cinemax TV channels along with the app/website.
The same will eventually be true with Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu. I suspect the same will also be true with Peacock once that contract gets renewed (it's been true with other TV providers.)

Well, I just bought a year of Peacock via their Black Friday discount, so with my luck, Peacock will be added on.
Codes:
REALDEAL ($20 for a year)
RealDealMonthly ($2/mo for 6 months.)

On 12/14/2024, I still see the channel notices listed current as of 10/31/2024.
These include NBC and Disney channels. Searching the internet shows nothing about an upcoming dispute with NBC and DirecTV.
I also see the Fox channels listed as a dispute for December.
There haven't been any scrolls on any channels.
