Local Channels

Why won't you let us get our local channels on a firestick?  I  have to pay extra for this so why can't I have access to it for   my firestick when I visit my sister and take my tv firestick with me.  Other cable companies let you have access to your locals.  Thank you for your help.

You have to pay extra for what?

Do you have U-verse TV or something else?

The Uverse app does not provide access to the same content as you get on a STB.

Yes, there is a U-verse app available on FireTV sticks.  It does allow you watch some OnDemand and some channel content.  But it is not intended as a replacement for a full receiver.  Doing so would violate some pricing agreements that they have with content providers.

Sorry @Constructive .  I edited my post after looking on my Firestick.  But yes, the Uverse app is available for download.  I've just never used it.

You’re beating a dead horse to death.  Not only has this never been available on Uverse, it never will.  For a while we had Locast until the owners failed to meet the non profit operating rules.
A lot of locals do transmit their programs over the internet via apps.
