If you’re unable to login to U-verse app
Some things to check. This works reliably for me.
login to the myAT&T app
click More (along the bottom on iOS)
click Manage Profile
scroll down and see if there’s anything showing for linked accounts
I have a primary gmail that I used originally, and somewhere along the way I must have been forced to get an att.net userid as well. This one is what is required for me to access U-verse app.
Also note, while looking into this, I noticed both email accounts listed were showing as unverified which I then corrected.

Yeah. I've never had issues when I use my @att.net address. I didn't know people could log in to the AT&T apps with other email addresses.

It’s been quite a source of frustration even for me, but I hadn’t seen a concise view of the mapping until I stumbled into the screen recently.
Given the lack of replies in here, perhaps it will continue to be a mystery to many of us. 😜

Att provides a link to find IDs in their standard response to login troubles. I tested this myself to see what it knows. In the automated text back to my phone, 4 different texts came listing the email addresses for me, two of which were identical currently.com IDs. This tool actually does not help identify which address is needed for the U-verse app. I am still of the belief the information in the myAT&T app profile is the correct one to use as it works for several people I know.

I deleted an old linked att account and now I can login. Not sure if it was that or the Office of The President fixing it for me.

I’m sure it was the latter. 😜
att seems to have over complicated the use of email addresses to help interact with its business. Things that were done years ago likely are breaking things for folks, and digging out of that hole is a challenge.
Anyway, thank you for taking the time to prove my hypothesis.

I've done all of this and it didn't work. I've deleted the app and reloaded it twice. Maybe I'll try deleting the att.net email address and reloading it.
This is very frustrating because we seem to be away from home when I want to set up a recording.
Is there any other way to log in to set up a recording without the app?

You bring up an excellent point because back when U-verse had browser support, these types of actions were possible. The app I believe is geofenced, meaning if you’re trying to use it outside of the 20 state service region you may not be able to use the app.
As for the login problem, I’m fairly certain the key is that member ID and primary email associated with the BAN.

Is U-Verse in Pennsylvania? I believe I've used the app there.

What I’ve always found strange about the idea of geofencing this service is if att is smart enough to do this based off the users’ IP address, why not send this signal back to the app to specify why the user can’t use the app instead of having them either infer the reason or write a forum post about it.

Do other providers geofence? Why does U-Verse?
It's gotta be some contractual thing.
