How to change provider on my tv

I cancelled att as my tv provider and made utube tv my provider. I still have att internet. No problem at first when I made utube tv my provider,but recently I can’t watch something’s on ESPN app and att shows up as my provider on that app. I reached out to ESPN support and the representative tried for an hour to remove att uverse and put utube tv in it’s place as the provider on the ESPN app. He couldn’t do it. He said I should get att uverse to help remove their name as my provider. Anyone else have this experience? How did you correct it?
