For about a week, I have had issues with my U-Verse freezing momentarily, and skipping ahead about a second or two. I have tried resetting all equipment (Gateway, DVR, Wireless boxes) with no resolve.
I am having a similar situation with my U-Verse. Multiple different channels, live & recorded, DVR, and 2 wireless boxes. My picture freezes for a second or two, and skips a frame or two. Direct fiber from junction box outside to my home. Netgear powerline adapter/extender at the wall where fiber comes in. Ethernet going from powerline to gateway. Gateway to DVR. Gateway to WAP. two wireless boxes. DVR is original from Feb 2016, Wireless boxes replaced about 2 years ago along with WAP. Netgear device about 3 years old, and never had this issue until about a week ago.
Better you started a new thread for your situation, thanks.
If I understand your setup correctly, you’re using a powerline adapter between the ONT and the gateway. Just curious if att set this up for you. FWIW, I’ve tried using Netgear products to do Ethernet emulation specifically for Uverse TV but ended abandoning the effort because stuff just wouldn’t work as it should’ve with stock hardware.
@gr8sho Yes, you are correct. Powerline is between ONT and gateway. I set it up myself, because gateway is in the middle of the house, and WiFi in bedroom isn't as strong. I am using the Netgear PLW1000. I highly doubt the powerline adapter is causing the issue as I have had it for almost 3 years, and this issue just started last week. Spent about 45 minutes on phone today with support. They are sending a new DVR, and two new wireless set top boxes. They said if this does not fix the issue, they will have to send a tech. I will paste my edited comment from other post below for others to see it.

First, the gateway for WiFi is garbage. If you want decent reliable WiFi, find something better and almost anything is.
While the U-verse hardware is now ancient, I’ve found it to be very reliable. I’d factory reset what I have before trying other used hardware sent to you.
I’d also simplify the setup as much as possible to see if you can get it to work reliably, and then build up from there . Fiber service should be solid, do everything else would be inside the home to sort out. I don’t see att wanting to help too much with Uverse at this point.
@JefferMC If you are asking me... I haven't noticed at that specific time, but speed tests are good, and my wife is on her WiFi only iPad 90% of the time and is not having issues when this happens with the TV.

I don't suppose you are able to notice if there are any issues with your Internet at this same time the video freezes?
