Free preview of NBA League Pass
NBA League Pass is free to all U-Verse HD subscribers. (Actually, I believe it technically starts 10/25 since the two games on 10/24 are on national TV.)
Channels start at 2105 and go up from there. If you don't see the channels, press "menu" then select options, find "hide channels" and then press "2-1-0-5" once you are in the list of channels.

I've also seen that NBA TV has a free preview.
