First, you want to ensure you enable communication between U-verse TV and the U-verse app.

Set up and pair your U-verse TV receiver with the U-verse app to allow smart devices to connect and control your receiver.

If you get an error screen when trying to connect a receiver, make sure:

• You’re signed into the app with the correct home account credentials.
• You’re connected to your home AT&T Wi-Fi network.
