ESPN App not working AT&T U-verse (Cell Phone and Xbox Series X)

I currently have a U-verse TV U450 (all included) TV package and am able to watch these channels through normal television. However, when I try to log on to different apps (e.g. ESPN, Showtime, etc.) using my U-verse credentials it says "This channel is not part of your TV package" even though they should be included. 

I have tried restarting the systems, logging out, and logging back in, but the problem persists. 

Have you encountered something like this before?

Since you have a qualifying package with AT&T U-verse, we would be happy to assist you resolve the error message "This channel is not part of your TV package" that you are getting.

 

To get started, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. First, make sure your ESPN app and device software are updated. 
  2. Restart your U-verse receiver and internet gateway to re-sync your network connections.
  3. Attempt to login to your updated ESPN app again using your AT&T credentials.
  4. You can try the same process for other apps like Showtime.
