default series recordings

If I use the U-verse app to set up a new series recording, it always defaults to a specific time and new episodes plus reruns. It says I have to use the receiver to change that default. Can I make the default any day, anytime and new episodes only? How?

To change the settings on your U-verse DVR, you will need to follow the steps provided. We've gone ahead and bolded the areas for you to select the specific settings you have requested:

Press Guide on the remote control and use arrow to move through the listings to the program to record.
Press Info > Record series > OK.
- To change how many times the show records, scroll to Time > OK. Choose 1 of the following options:
  - Any day, around xx:xx AM/PM (the time the show is currently set to record)
  - Any day, anytime
  - Any day, anytime, once per day
- To change what type of show to record, scroll to Show Type > OK. Choose 1 of the following options:
  - First run and rerun
  - First run only
- To change when to stop the recording, scroll to Stop Recording > OK. Choose 1 of the following options:
  - At scheduled time
  - Five minutes after
  - Fifteen minutes after
  - Thirty minutes after
  - One hour after
  - Two hours after
  - Three hours after
When the desired option displays, use arrow to select Record > OK.
- Choose Don't Record to exit from this screen without setting the series recording.
