It is working on my Amazon FireTV tablet, on my Fire TV Cube and on my Android phone.

What version of the app do you have on your FireTV tablet?

It was working yesterday so I figured the problem was fixed.  However it is not working today.  I can only get HBO channels.

We are here to help with the U-verse app, KarenYFriedman.

Thank you to the ace for the useful information.

As they stated, what version of the app do you have?

There may be something that is causing those channels to not show up on the app.

Let us know more information, so we can help.

6.5 was just released for iOS, so you’re good there.   The Android version is also latest available but understand we are no longer properly supported on Fire tablets.  Only sideload on tablets supporting Nougat.

Out of curiosity, are you 100% confident you’re using your U-verse member ID to login to the app?

@gr8sho , I have two FireOS tablets that allow me to natively download (i.e. from the Amazon AppStore) the newest version (6.5.0.1.0390).  The other three will not.  Two are running old versions of FireOS.  However, it won't allow downloads to my Gen11 either, which is certainly running a new version of FireOS.

@JefferMC

It’s not there for me.  There’s no Uverse anything for me on the most recent 10” tablet.   I am not running Google play FWIW.  Any search I do says my device is not supported.   I probably deleted the app from my library in the period between when support for lollipop was dropped and when I picked up the new tablet.  Subsequently it seems Att has pulled the app from Amazon for tablets.   Still there for fire tv though.   And as I said, this is the least of my worries as I can deal with sideloading.

the most recent 10” tablet.

Same here.  I went to this page from my deskt0p:

https://www.amazon.com/AT-T-Services-Inc-U-verse/dp/B00LH4ATEK

while logged in.  There's a dropdown on the right that lets you send the app to a particular device.  Only my Gen9 10" and Gen 9 7" show up in that drop down.  Not showing:

Gen 11 10"

Gen 7 10"

Gen 7 8" (x2 my wife and daughter each have one... I forgot about these)

Gen 5 7"

The bottom 3 lines don't surprise me, they're all on too old a fork of Android.  However, the Gen 11 does.  It should work.

I’ll look again when I get home, but when I looked on the webpage it showed the tablet as not supported.  But moreover that is a very convoluted way to get an app installed because it should work through the native App Store and it doesn’t for me.   It’s as if Amazon and/or Att can’t figure out how to deliver the app for one generation and not others.

Also Att dev is quite clear about requiring Android 7+

YOu're right.  But I went to the page from the PC rather than having to visit each tablet one at a time, bring up the app store, search for the app...  One search, all supported devices in one list.

Last night 3/29/2022 after 8pm all channels were working on my iphone and kindle.  this morning it back to only HBO on both devices.  This problem is also on apps that I am able to access because I am an U-Verse customer, those apps are telling me I dont have access and to contact my provider.  What is going on? answers please. or a contact number so I can speak with someone.

@KarenYFriedman

I’ve asked a few people in your situation to confirm use of their correct Uverse member ID.  When I hear someone say they used an app like CNN to access live stream and get denied, it almost certainly sounds to me like the wrong credentials are being used.  I’m not going to debate the merits or demerits of what Att did here but rather trying to focus users to help themselves, because as a U-verse TV subscriber, you can make this work correctly.  Certainly has been the case for many unable to even access the app and now can.

My Uverse member ID is correct.  I can log into the app with ID and password.  Only HBO channels are showing up on the live portion and guide of the app. I am not able to access anyother channels.  As stated last night everything was up and running correctly on my iphone and kindle fire. This morning and at the present time only HBO channels are showing in guide.  I mention the other app (ESPN) that I have been able to access for years ask me to contact provider because i do not have access. Last night when app was working correctly I checked the ESPN app and had not problem accessing and watching live games. Wondering if problem with att is causing this problem as well.
