channel request: The new G4.

Hello, AT&T. I am a geek and would like for you guys to add the new G4 to AT&T U-verse's channel lineup. The reason why I am making this channel request via the AT&T U-verse community forums is because you guys have done away with the U-verse channel request website and I do not know any other way I can request for you to add the new G4 to U-verse's channel lineup. Thank you.

There is one hope.

Who owns G4? What other channels do they own? Perhaps the channel owner will want G4 to be added to the next round of negotiations.

baseballisback, Comcast owns the new G4. Comcast also owns E!, Oxygen, Bravo, Aspire, and TV One.

Well there ya go. They also own MSNBC, CNBC and USA. Maybe there is some hope. It's probably not a lot, but you never know. It all depends what "the suits" agree to.

Programming announcements are *usually* at the below link on the third Tuesday of each month. For some reason, they haven't been posted in a few months. I have someone trying to get to the bottom of why.

Marquee Sports Network was recently added to channel 1740 on a national basis.

It's possible, but probably unlikely for G4.

Baseballisback, I am considering starting a social media fan campaign to tell AT&T to place the new G4 in U-verse's channel lineup. To be specific, I am thinking about creating a Facebook (Yes. I know. Facebook is no longer trendy right now in 2022 but I can't think of any other social media site that would be best for doing it.). page telling G4 to place the new G4 in U-verse's channel lineup and trying to get a Twitter hashtag that tells AT&T to place the new G4 in U-verse's channel lineup trending so that I can show AT&T that U-verse customers such as myself do want the new G4 to be placed in U-verse's channel lineup.

If I was to create the Facebook page, then what I would do is promote it on a huge number of geek culture Facebook pages & Facebook groups so that it would like by a huge number of people. After doing that that, I would hold a few Twitter hashtag trending events in an effort to tell AT&T U-verse to add the new G4 to their channel lineup.

Given that television providers choose what channels to add to their channel lineups based on the amount of demand there is for them, I think creating a social media fan campaign is going to cause AT&T to add the new G4 to U-verse's channel lineup. Plus, given that there is a very huge number of geeks out there, the plan is guaranteed to work (One example of that is how the social media fan campaign to tell AMC not to cancel Halt & Catch Fire was a success last decade.).

It's not just demand, but contract as I said. In fact, it could be more contract.

In the 90s, Duke played a basketball game against UNC that was on ESPN2. At the time, hardly anyone got ESPN2. There was a huge "call your cable or satellite provider now" campaign in the weeks before the game. The campaign really didn't work in time for the game, but obviously, ESPN2 became just as popular as ESPN.

I still contend if there's any hope, it'll be when Comcast has to renew with AT&T.
