Channel for community updates

Presently we have U-verse in our community. Is there a channel that would be available for our community to use for updates and general notices?

In our area (N. Texas) we have "Local Government, Education and Public Access" on Ch. 99

Press the "Menu" button and to see if there's such an option.

Edit to add:  HERE  is an interesting thread.  Admittedly, it's from 2013 so I don't know if the info is still relevant but explains how the "PEG" channel works.

Most cities have community access channels.  On most cable systems, each one gets its own channel.  However (at least where I live), U-Verse combines the channels of the cities/communities in a particular area into a single "app channel" (i.e you select the channel, and it starts an app from which you can select your local community channel).  Usually, this is channel 99.

Hi.  I know this is really old but you can definitely have your own channel.    For HOAs it's channel 8001.  If you need help with this type of channel we can help.  Whether if you're with AT&T or a new provider.
