canceling U-verse TV
I just woke up and got myself together to get on the phone to cancel service.
Within 10 minutes I was talking to an operator. After we confirmed my account, I told him I wanted to cancel. He only made one offer to simply cancel my DVR. both times, as I was told in a previous post here, I told him I wanted to stream exclusively.
The operator understood on a level I didn't expect. I told him I already disconnected the boxes, and that a UPS store was close to where I worked. [do I need to pack the items in a box, or can I just literally hand over the equipment etc?]
He confirmed that, that gave me my account number and the stop order number.
That was it.
Compared to the Comcast horror stories of late, this seems to be a two hit fight, me hitting them, them hitting the floor.
Did I really just do that?

Hmmm ...why does the time stamp say 2:13am?
There's also no way to "just" cancel a DVR unless you go down to U-Family... assuming that package even exists.
