Let's get your UVerse-TV service working again, @tamgc_2.

If you're having problems with your service pixelating and freezing, we recommend that you troubleshoot your equipment. Doing so may help with improving your connection and fixing your channel viewing experience. A Non-Disaster Recovery is a good troubleshooting step you can try, and here's how to do so:

To avoid losing your saved programs, perform the Non-Disaster Recovery for DVR/Receivers:

  1. Unplug the receiver or DVR power cord from the wall or back of the box.

  2. Wait 10 seconds.

  3. Plug in the receiver and DVR.

  4. When three white dots appear on the screen, unplug the receiver/DVR again.

  5. Repeat this process two more times.

  6. Plug the receiver/DVR back in on the third time and leave in. Three white dots appear followed by a gear with a status bar at the bottom of the screen. If the Recovery screen does not appear, repeat the steps above.

Let us know if the information helps!

Hello again, tamgc_2.

We're happy to continue assisting you, but we need some clarification first. Do you still need help with the pixelating, are you trying to see if you can upgrade to Fiber, or both?

We'll be awaiting your reply!

still waiting on tech on 3-17-22, i think the problem may be that when they installed new router that the roku tv used the old wi-fi name and password, and tha is why the tv cannot connect

would be great if i could get ahold of a tech to check if that is what is happening

Att is responsible for getting you service to the gateway, and if you have Uverse TV, to the settop boxes.  They do not get involved with home networks.  That’s on the customer to handle.
Also, I’ve personally not seen a home network misconfiguration damage U-verse TV with pixelization.  You can make it freeze up with a bad switch, but not pixelate.  Pixelization typically occurs due to poor coax cabling.  If it’s within your means and you are using coax, moving to Ethernet cables or wireless would be better path for Uverse TV.
