401 error

I am getting the 401 error every time I try to Search from Menu. I have unplugged the Wi-Fi and reset both receivers (multiple times). Still nothing.

This is likely an issue with a server in your local video headend.  You can try calling 800-288-2020 to report this, but unfortunately it's unlikely they'll have any idea what you're talking about and how to help you, but perhaps they will.

I'm having the same problem. Happens when I go to "On Demand" or "Search".  I called 800-288-2020 no help. They sent a repairman.  He said he has seen this before with 2 or 3 other customers.  He replaced receivers, DVR and modem. Problem was still there.  There are more people having this problem on other forums.

Here my timeline of the problem:

1. Late Nov 2022 I saw a preview for "Guardians of the Galaxy". I searched for it. Found it and recorded it. I only noticed the week day it was on not the date.  It wasn't until later I found out "Guardians of the Galaxy" won't be on until Jan '23.

2.  A week or so later I tried to search for something else. I got the "Error code: 402 - Unauthorized" message. I get the same message when trying to go to "On Demand".  

3.  Then a few weeks later I called Customer Service and got a repairman.

I think it is a problem in my customer account because it says "Unauthorized".  I'll call customer service to see if they can reset something.

I will post the results.

"On Demand" and "Search" are both working now.

I call AT&T customer service. Went through the menu (wait for each to finish) until I got a real person.  They will have you reboot everything.  If it still doesn't work, tell them you know someone that got their software updated and these features are working for them. Turns out all I needed was to get my software updated.  Whether it was software on my end or theirs I don't know.

But it's working now.
