Why is only ABC the only channel with no sound on 2024-05-04?
Around 6:00 PM on 2024-05-04, I tuned into ABC on DirecTV Stream on my TV per usual but instead of hearing the network broadcast I heard only the background crowd noise. Around 8:00 PM the entire audio went out even though the video was fine.
I went to my laptop computer, www.abc.com, and the sound was just fine.
When I went to DirecTV.com/stream on that same computer, using the Guide, I went to ABC, but again, no sound, not even the ambient crowd noise from the game.
I unplugged everything from the TV, waited 30 seconds, plugged everything back in, but again, only the ABC network channel has sound problems. All other channels in my package have normal audio.
This proves to me that the issue is on the DirecTV Stream server side, not my client side.
I sure hope DirecTV Stream fixes their audio problems with ABC soon.

Since it was a weekend, there seemed no point in trying to contact anyone at ABC or DirecTV because I know from (bad) experience that any so-called "customer service" is closed on weekends and barely works at all on weekdays.
My ZIP code is 80921.
The sound finally came back on its own near the end of the game (a national feed of the "ESPN on ABC" variety), so again, contacting KRDO, the local ABC affiliate seemed pointless since the feed was national, not local.
