It would help to know exactly what equipment you have. Did this ever work properly?

Regarding original question:
I have directv stream with gemini air remote . I reset the dongle plugged in to hdmi and no fix so they sent me a new control and it does the same thing.
Neither never did work I am new directv user. I have a Sony Bravia tv pretty old.

I'm experiencing the same problem. I've been with DIRECTV about 9 months now - internet usage, no satellite. I got the gemini box and remote and initially it worked fine, although there may have been a channel or two that it would not recognize. I used the voice command for things like closed caption on/off. I then tried give a voice command "Channel 123" and it went to channel 123. This is a channel that it would not recognize the name previously, but it did take the number. Now it will not accept that anymore, nor did it take the "closed caption" commands - kept getting "Try saying something like ...". Chatted with DIRECTV tech online and they sent me a new remote - I paired it with my box, and the "closed caption" command is working again, but when I say "Channel 123", it does not like it. What gives? I'd like to be able to navigate channels sometime without having to go to Guide and scroll. Thoughts? Advice? Comments?

There is no channel 123. Is that the actual channel number you are trying to to go to? If not what channel number is it

I used channel 123 above just as an example to show the problem. I tried "Channel 8" and also "channel 349" among others.

As a retired IT manager, I violated the first principle of troubleshooting by changing more than one thing at a time to isolate the problem. I received a new Gemini remote and when pairing it with my box, I went ahead and did a factory reset. Now, everything is working as it was before (yeah!). My remote is accepting voice commands and there is still a glitch with a couple of channels, but that was there before. I can give a voice command "Newsmax" and it will try to push me toward some app, but if I say "Channel 349", it takes me to Newsmax. I can live with that. Even with this, it's still better than Comcast/Xfinity.
