The Favorites List
Hello we have 5 different TV's in our home. On Directv Stream, can the Favorite List be different for each TV. Example my daughter watches the kids channels. My husband sports, and I love Hallmark, LIFETIME and WE. Can our guides all be different?

You are allowed only one set of favorites per account. It will appear the same on all devices you sign on to with your account sign on and password.

You can now have multiple favorites lists, as you can now create multiple profiles. But you are allowed only one favorite list per profile.

Hello @Sasmith40 we are here to resolve all your questions.
We can personalize the general guide on your DIRECTV STREAM account, first we need to select our favorite channels.
1. Go to the Home screen.
2. Select Guide and scroll through the channel listings.
3. Select the Heart next to the channels you want to favorite. The heart will fill in when you save it as a favorite.
After that we can customize and organize them by genre, alphabetical or numerical order. We can see more details here.
Let us know if additional assistance is required.

I’m a new DTV stream customer. The two issues I’ve got are the favorites and their streaming device channel button.
They need multiple sets of Favorites. I have an elderly father and would like for him to have his own favorites list. Stream only allows one. This is an easy software fix. They need to do this.
When selecting the favorites on the guide, the remote channel selection goes through ALL the channels and not just the favorites. This is confusing for my dad. They need to fix this. Another easy software fix.
it would also be nice to select the genre presets on the guide. I don’t have kids. I’d like to remove this and set “News” or some other genre.
I love the service. The streaming device is good. They need a few tweaks and it would be great.

Since they do not have profiles, everything is based on the account holder. So multiple favorites are not possible.

@Michaelj3d Changing the handling so that selecting a filter (like sports or favorites) affected not just the EPG but also "surfing" through channels does seem like it should not be that difficult a change. However, as far as multiple sets of "favorites - as @bcbsncjlj noted, they don't have profiles, so there is nothing to "attach" a second set of favorites to. Profiles (with a variety of features and capabilities) have been requested for years, so far without any action on DTV's part (or AT&T's part for the time prior to this past year).
Implementing profiles well would not be trivial. Coming up with a good feature set is not simple (the vast majority of the requests are looking for more than just allowing multiple sets of favorites, and some of the desires contradict), and coming up with a good UI (again, for a more functional profile definition) would likely be harder. We can hope they are looking into it - there have been significantly more enhancements under (separate) DTV ownership than under AT&T,
As far as allowing editing the filter list or creating custom filters - again, certainly seems doable, but a good UI might not be easy, and this would be yet another feature that profiles (if added) would impact.

This stream is so old that who knows what the situation is now? I'm trying to decide whether to change over or not, and this was not one bit helpful
