streaming app menu problem, inaccessible left hand menu

I use directv streaming app with two appletvs (recent TVios). When first installed the app works fine, after a day or two the left-hand menu (search, on demand, etc.) is unavailable. I can scroll up to the the guide, down through the previously watched, up to the Profile but not the menu below it.I delete the app, reinstall it and it will work for a day and then again the left-hand menu will be inaccessible.

Why a DM and why not making publicly available I have the same issue on my apple tv. How is this dealt with or what can be done?
