Solutions for deleting programs in Continue Watching section?

Is there a solution yet to delete shows that appears in the Continue Watching section on DirecTVstream.  Even watching them to the end no longer deletes show but rolls into the next in the episode.  DirecTVstream nees to do better

You should be able to skip to the end of the program and then delete it before the next show starts using the normal Delete selection.

The only way I have found is to start them and fast forward them to the end, and let them finish and they go away.

September 2022--There is NO way to delete shows listed in the CONTINUE WATCHING section.

Watch to the end, and it rolls into the next show.

There is no DELETE option in the Information area.

Hey, Direct TV Stream: PLEASE ADVISE HOW TO GET RID OF THESE SHOWS?  (MOST OF WHICH I NEVER EVEN WATCHED IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!)

PLEASE FIX THIS RIDICULOUS PROBLEM ASAP

This needs to be addressed. It should be simple enough to delete these programs from "Continued Watching" in the DirecTV Stream app. Why has this basic feature not been added!?

If you Set Autoplay Next Episode (In preference settings) to off, it should not play the next episode when the current one finishes.

even with next episode turned off, it rolls to the next episode in continue watching if you let it run through the end of the current show.  A simple task for any programmer to add the delete option, if you can't do it, I'll contract it our for you for a price!

Submit your resume. They could always use a few good men.

This definitely is a HUGE issue for many and obviously Direct TV don't care to fix it. Shows are popping up that we don't even watch on the Animal Planet and they have several episodes and seasons. You would seriously be here several weeks to remove certain shows with several seasons and episodes with ads over 200+ seconds. Absolutely ridiculous.

I agree. That's why I don't record anymore. Now I just use the anywhere apps to watch content. There has been limited improvement to the service for years.

I think we ALL need to threaten to cancel the service if they don't want to take us seriously. All call in to tech support and make complaints because the "experts" don't care and half of them don't even have direct TV streaming that's why they don't care.  And they don't have the upper hand to do anything. Their programmer could easily do an update to fix this.

The only work around I can find is to do the following:

1. Do another search for the program you want to clear from the list and select it from the search results

2. Scroll down to the Episodes selection for the program

3. Find the last episode of the last season

4. Select play and fast forward to the end. You might have to watch a few commercials at the end but eventually the option will be play live TV. (no more episodes left)

5. Select to watch live TV and the program should be gone from the list.

Yes this is way too cumbersome but at least it seems to work.

I appreciate it but they need to catch up with Netflix, have a place you can delete or clear history. Or like some apps don't show up period. Where is direct TV streaming tech team or developers? Enough complaints should get it to be a easy fix. Should be up to the ones who pay to choose yes I want to continue a show or movie. If I do i can go back into the app. Stop being so lazy.

This is horrible. I had a similar problem with Peacock TV but at least their shows didn't disable fast forwarding. I accidentally clicked on something and I'd have to watch it for an hour now to get rid of it. Ridiculous.

DirecTV Stream doesn't appear to fix any of the issues that their customers raise. This post was from over a year ago and they've done nothing. People have asked them to allow the page up and down buttons on their remotes to work in the program guide for just as long and they haven't bothered to spend the hour or so necessary to do it.

The fact that every post in this thread is from a user and not one from an employee says a lot. Even if you don't care about your customers at all, you should at least pretend that you want to help.

Since this is a "customer to customer" forum (allowing customers to interact with other customers) and not a Customer Service interface, it isn't completely surprising that you don't see (many) employees post here.  There are sometimes posts from 1st level support reps (posting as DIRECTTVhelp), but which threads they show up in is fairly random.  And like the other 1st level reps, they aren't really helpful with getting bugs fixed or enhancement requests forwarded - it isn't clear that they actually have a conduit to get such things forwarded to the useful people; they are generally most useful with account issues or explaining how to use existing features.  There have been reports that posting to the DTV Facebook or Twitter feeds (links at the bottom of the page) are more useful for things like that - I can't say from personal experience.

I was able to remove CONTINUE WATCHING shows by fast forwarding close to end and let it run to the end in DIRECTV.
